The activities carried out include compiling educational concepts and methodologies for women, conducting training, and organizing and developing monitoring and evaluation tools from a gender and community perspective.
Since its establishment, KAPAL Perempuan has organized training for women leaders at the local level in various regions of Indonesia, including urban women from disadvantaged backgrounds, women in rural areas and on remote islands, those affected by conflict, and workers in the industrial sector, encompassing both migrant and domestic workers. The training is tailored to women’s needs and integrates various issues, including environmental concerns, conflict prevention, peacebuilding, pluralism, sexuality, poverty, and reproductive health. The education conducted to date has involved approximately 1,500 individuals who have participated in education programs organized by KAPAL Perempuan. Additionally, there are around 250 facilitators who have emerged from KAPAL Perempuan’s education and now facilitate educational activities in their respective regions.
